Every jerky brand has an origin story, but most of them are written by a marketing agency. This one was written behind a butcher's counter in Melbourne, where Daniel spent years handing out free taste tests until enough people told him it was the best jerky they'd ever eaten. Original is the flavour that ended the argument.
Beef first, and plenty of it. The marinade is soy sauce and apple cider vinegar doing quiet work underneath — savoury depth, a tang that cuts the richness — and then cracked black pepper lands on the finish with a warm, gentle bite. No sweetness, no smoke, no chilli. Just Victorian grass-fed beef seasoned like a butcher would season it.
Big, dark strips of dried grass-fed beef with a proper chew — the tough, meaty kind, not the soft sugary stuff. Never frozen, sliced fresh, marinated for a full 24 hours, dried low, then cooled and bagged straight away. 50g.

Where is it made? Made in Melbourne by 3099 Jerky, using 100% Victorian grass-fed beef that's never been frozen.
A butcher's jerky, not a factory's. The Smuggler rates Original as the honest benchmark — if a brand can't nail beef, pepper and salt, nothing else they do matters. Pack's empty before the fire's up. When it is, hit a brisket with Butchers Axe Bullseye and mop it with Fancy Hanks Coffee & Molasses.
