Collection: DC CARTEL
HUGE B.D. ENERGY - BIG DULCIE ENERGY
Born and bred in the Adelaide Hills our Nanna (Dulcie) worked the best venues in S.A, from owning the Handorf Inn back in the 60’s to working behind the counter at Angelakis Brothers in the Central Market in the 80’s.
Over those decades Dulcie’s cooking has been influenced by every corner of the world by the people she worked and ate with. With one ingredient always consistent - she loved Chilli. Nanna believed that chilli dishes brought people closer together, like a family and so it is now known as - Dulcie’s Chilli Cartel. The Cartel has over the years been made up of many great people from different cultures, backgrounds and parts of the globe.
These days DC Cartel carries the family legacy, as her grandsons remake her original recipes that were handed down through generations. They are as close to authentic as the first day they were made. The only thing that would make them more 80’s is if you were popping mono’s on your BMX, eating White Knights and Wagon Wheels while listening to a hot new band out of New Jersy called Bon Jovi. But you’re not. Unless you are, then that is a massive co-incidence.
